November 23, 2006 – We have raised $4,900 for the disaster relief work of the Canadian Red Cross. Ever since Superior Tofu was established in 1982, we have created a long corporate tradition of giving back to local and global communities.  Part of our donation will help assist the victims of the May 2006 Indonesian Earthquake, where the Red Cross is currently involved in bringing relief and aiding recovery.   The remainder of the donation will support local Red Cross disaster relief. The funds were raised last summer at the Richmond and Chinatown Night Markets.  Approximately 12,000 cups of our  popular Soy Dessert were offered to customers for purchase by donation.  It is doubly gratifying to promote our healthy products and raise money for charities at the same time.
