Eight lucky Superior Tofu consumers met Canadian Olympic gold medallist Carol Huynh for a rare ‘meet and greet’ opportunity at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 31^st at Burnaby’s T&T Supermarket.

In a random draw at Superior Tofu’s head office, eight winners from around the Lower Mainland were chosen from tens of thousands of entries collected at eight T&T Supermarket locations across BC. Winners were Yu Siu Ping, Hu Xue Fen, Li Yang, Alex C.Y. Wang, Joanna Zeng, Yu Ming Qian, Yvonne Lan and Amy Wong.

Superior Tofu General Manager Rita Cheng says their company was overwhelmed with the positive response from consumers who entered the contest.

“It goes to show Carol’s popularity as an Olympic gold medallist not only with mainstream audiences but especially with the Asian community,” Cheng adds. “Carol is an amazing role model. She is walking proof that with enough hard work, perseverance and talent, you can achieve almost anything you want.”

Cheng says Superior Tofu was very fortunate to acquire Huynh, an avid Superior Tofu consumer, as their spokesperson.

Huynh made headlines around the world for capturing Canada’s first gold medal at the Beijing Summer Olympics. Huynh also boasts gold medal wrestling performances at the 2007 Pan American Games and 2005 World University Games.
