Rita’s Lazy GOURMET TOFU
Ingredients:
- 1 pkg Superior Organic Extra Firm Tofu (350g) OR
- 1 pkg Superior Organic Medium Firm Tofu (330g)
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Cut tofu into 1/4” thick cutlets. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar and oil; marinate tofu cutlets in mixture for 20 minutes (or overnight if desired to absorb more flavour). Broil at 500° F on baking pan until crispy, turning frequently. Quick Shortcut – use your favourite bottled sauce (i.e. Teriyaki or BBQ) instead. Makes 2 servings.
Tofu Tip: You can freeze firmer types of Superior Tofu. The tofu will turn beige in colour, and have a more porous texture, similar to meat.
