Pan-Fried Ketchup Tofu
This is a modified dish for vegetarians. The dish was originally designed to have ketchup sauce on top of either meat or shrimp.
Ingredients:
- 1 pkg Superior Extra Firm Tofu (350g), cut into squares
- 2 tsp olive oil
- hot sauce to taste
Tomato sauce:
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 4 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
- dash sesame oil
Heat 1 tsp of oil and fry tofu until brownish. Take tofu out and place on a plate. Use 1 tsp of oil to fry the sauce. Add hot sauce to tofu. Ready to serve. Makes 4 servings.
