Northern Style Tofu is a huge success at the Chinatown Festival 2010

After last year’s successful event, Superior Tofu returned to proudly join the 11th Annual Vancouver Chinatown Festival, one of the largest summer celebrations in Vancouver’s historic Chinatown.


This year’s event took place on the weekend of August 14 and 15, 2010 and Superior Tofu was pleased to participate in the event as a sponsor and would like to share some of the highlights of this celebration.

Our staff hosted a booth where we sampled our Hot New Popular Product – “Northern Style Tofu” – which is made with natural sea salt, resulting in a wonderful texture and a delightful earthy taste.

Attendees of the festival crowded to our booth to try the healthy tofu samples. Amongst the Northern Style Tofu, we also sampled our popular Soy Pudding, Desserts and Soy Beverages.

Vancouver was blessed with sunshine over the 2 day event and Superior Tofu provided over 3,000 samples to the attendees to cool off and enjoy!

Although, we enjoy our successes, it is very important for us to remember those who are in need! Our president, Rita Cheng said, “We’re all here as part of the bigger community of humankind. Our goal is to work to improve people’s lives and to help those in desperate times, wherever that be or whatever they may need”.

Based on the sales of the Northern Style Tofu, Desserts and Beverages, Superior Tofu raised a total of $1,619.20 CAD during the 2 day event. We will be providing all the proceeds to the Canadian Red Cross to aid people impacted by the devastating floods in Pakistan.

Over the years, we have also shared our company’s success by establishing Superior Tofu Community Fund with the Vancouver Foundation. The fund support many local community programs and services to those in needs.
